Hi there -

Just a list of the MAC stuff I showed on the video – in case you want to try it too!

Prep & Prime Skin – otherwise known as great “spackle”! – This is doing a nice job – the spackle factor is high!
MAC eyeshadows: Bamboo, Flourishing, Fig (last two are Matte squared)
Myth lipstick – This is somewhat difficult to use, but probably because I have a hard time with lipstick in general. It looks nice with other lip products on top but I can’t wear it by itself.
Fast Response Eye Cream – I really like this product, it’s working out very well!

Touch up those Roots!

I touch up my roots about every 6 weeks or so. My hair grows pretty fast but sometimes I let the roots grow longer than I should, this video is a good example of that! My natural hair color is mousy brown/grey/white. It’s a bad color but it turns blonde very easily! To see what color your hair will look like after coloring, check out the pictures on the box that show before and after with different shades of brown/blonde. I have found those pictures to be quite accurate.

Here is a list of what you need to dye your hair:

Hair dye – I used L’Oreal Feria 110
Comb – I like a rat tail comb best although in this video, I used a plain comb and it worked just fine.
Towel – for wiping off drips
Clips – they come in handy for sectioning off hair or clipping all your hair up after you are finished applying dye to your hair.
Proper ventillation
Clock with timer

The video I shot was really long – about 40 minutes all together so I cut quite a bit out. Here are some of the highlights of what was was cut:

The reason I use Feria is because it is very gentle.
You should ALWAYS do a patch test BEFORE using any hair dye on your head. Some dyes are very strong and can cause a lot of breakage all over your head. It’s horrible – feels like you got a partial crew cut AND it takes forever to grow back! Lesson: always do a patch test the day before you want to color your hair.
Hair dye burns when it gets on your skin but it is neutralized by water. If you spill some on your skin, just wipe off with a wet cloth and you should be okay.
Make sure that you aren’t resting your comb on a wet spot while you are parting your hair – the water will deactivate the dye and you will be very disappointed!
Always make sure you have proper ventilation while dying your hair – the fumes can be very strong!
Wear a towel or old clothes while coloring your hair – dye can ruin your clothes.

Lancome Renergie Microlift Eye R.A.R.E. lifting eye cream (good moisturizing)
Clinique Moisture Surge (Awesome moisturizer for normal to oily skin)
Clinique City Block Sheer 25 SPF (Good protection for the face, especially if you live/work in the city. Helps reduce red blotchy skin to more uniform look)
Smashbox Photo Finish Light (Great spackle!!!!)
